Brokers give thumbs-up to Saffron For Intermediaries

Saffron Building Society says that it’s dedicated intermediary lending channel, Saffron For intermediaries, which was launched in March this year, has been given a resounding thumbs-up by brokers.

Peter Izard, Head of Mortgages, explains:

“The performance of Saffron For Intermediaries has exceeded our expectations and, based on the findings of recent research, is viewed equally as positively by brokers. We’re now looking forward to launching our refreshed product range during the next few weeks and working closely with brokers again throughout 2014.”

In the research, 94% of brokers rated Saffron For Intermediaries products as either good, very good or excellent and confirmed they liked the Society’s common sense approach to underwriting and willingness to give brokers direct access to underwriters. More than two-thirds of brokers were either very or extremely satisfied with the service provided and a similar number liked the Society’s dedicated intermediary website.

Peter Izard concluded:

‘This is an exciting time for Saffron Building Society. We’ve exceeded our lending targets for 2013 and we’re looking forward to getting back into the market once again.

“We will continue to look for ways to enhance our service to intermediaries and our focus will continue to be on providing mortgages for borrowers who find themselves in special situations, either because of the type of work they do, or the type of property they want to buy or because of their financial circumstances.”
